Can you charge and use Aux at the same time?

If you’re like most people, you probably use your aux input to play music from your phone while you’re driving. And if you’re like most people, you also probably charge your phone while you’re driving. This happened to me just recently when I connected the aux cord to my phone and realized, it was not charging! What a drag! My phone was only 20% charged and i had a long way to go before my destination.

Here’s the thing, most aux cords are only meant for one thing: playing music. They don’t have the extra wiring necessary to charge your phone while you’re using them. So if you’re in a situation where you need to charge and use Aux at the same time, what can you do?

There are a few options available to you:

Use a charging cable that has an aux input built-in – These cables are relatively new on the market but they’re becoming more and more popular. You can find them online or at some electronics stores.

Use a power bank – This is probably the most common solution people use. You can charge up a power bank ahead of time and then use it to charge your phone while you’re using the aux input.

Use a car charger with an aux input – These are also becoming more popular as people realize they need them. You can find them at most electronics stores or online.

Keep in mind that not all aux cords are created equal. Some might only charge your phone while others might only play music. So, if you’re looking to do both, make sure you get a cord that specifically says it can do both! Otherwise, you’ll be stuck with one or the other.

Can you charge and use AUX on iPhone?

The iPhone comes with a Lightning to USB cable, and you can use this cable for charging as well as syncing data. However, this cable does not have an aux input. So if you want to charge and use AUX at the same time on your iPhone, you’ll need to get a special adapter.

You can find these adapters online or at most electronics stores. They typically plug into the Lightning port on your iPhone and then have an aux input that you can plug your cord into. Look for a 2-in-1 car charger and aux audio cable for iPhone and you should be good to go!

Can You Charge and use Aux on Android Phones?

Yes, you can charge and use aux on Android phones! However, it’s important to note that not all Android phones come with a standard aux input. So, you may need to get an adapter in order to use aux on your Android phone.

You can find these adapters online or at most electronics stores. They typically plug into the headphone jack on your Android phone and then have an aux input that you can plug your cord into and are called usb-c to aux and charger. As a heads up be sure to that its a 2-in-1 usb-c (type-c) to 3.5mm headphone audio adapter charging cable and not one that is only aux or only charger. It happened to me, and I had to go back to exchange it.

With this adapter, you should be able to charge and use aux on your Android phone at the same time. Just plug the adapter into your phone and then plug in your aux cord and you’re good to go!
