AI sleep videos can pay. Mass-made ones don't
The method, and what YouTube pays for.
Checked against YouTube's own rules

Why it matters
Played all night
People leave sleep videos on for hours, so watch time adds up fast.
- Who it fits. Anyone with a YouTube channel. Starting is free.
- Who gets paid. Only channels accepted into YouTube's Partner Program.
The method · 3 parts
One scene, one loop
What the video shows, from niche to upload.
- Pick a niche. Searches going up, few giant channels. Like fireplace or cozy jazz.
- Make one image. Rain on a window, a warm room, no people.
- Loop it. A short clip that ends where it starts, with rain or fire sounds.
Prompt · the music
Ask Claude for the music
Paste this into Claude. You run the script on your computer:
Write a Python script that makes a 3-minute calm piano track for sleep videos. Slow and soft, no drums, and it should loop seamlessly. Save it as a WAV file and tell me how to run it.
Prompt · what you get
A script, not a song
Your computer runs it and saves the track as a file.
Example · what you get
A Python script that plays soft notes
How to install and run it
Output: a 3-minute WAV file
- Listen first. Results vary. Play the whole file before you upload it.
YouTube's rule
Mass-made loops don't get paid
Since July 15, 2025, YouTube calls it inauthentic content.
- Not paid. AI content from generic templates that looks mass-produced.
- Paid at all. 1,000 subscribers plus 4,000 watch hours in 12 months.
- Say it's AI. AI music as the main focus needs YouTube's AI label.
Save this
Make each one different
Three checks, from YouTube's own help pages.
- New scene each time. No copy-paste template.
- Mid-rolls off. An option on videos 8 minutes or longer.
- Tick the AI box. For AI music or realistic scenes.
