If you’ve got a pair of Apple’s wireless AirPods and want to use them with your Chromebook, you’re in luck. Here’s how to connect AirPods to a Chromebook.
First, make sure your AirPods are charged and close to your Chromebook. Then, open the lid of your Chromebook and press the power button to turn on the device.
Once your Chromebook is turned on, press the “Menu” key in the top-right corner of the keyboard and select “Settings”. In the Settings menu, click on “Bluetooth & other devices” in the left sidebar.
On the Bluetooth & other devices page, make sure that Bluetooth is turned on by clicking on the toggle switch next to the “Bluetooth” heading. Then, click on the “Add Bluetooth or other device” button.
In the Add a device window that appears, select “Bluetooth” from the list of options. Then, put your AirPods in their case and open the lid. Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until you see a white flashing light.
Your AirPods should now appear in the list of available Bluetooth devices. Simply click on them to connect them to your Chromebook! Once they’re connected, you’ll be able to use them just like any other pair of headphones or speakers.
How to connect airpods to chromebook without bluetooth
If you don’t have Bluetooth built into your Chromebook or if it’s turned off, you can still connect your AirPods by using a USB adapter.
To do this, first make sure that your AirPods are charged and close to your Chromebook. Then, insert the Lightning to USB Adapter that came with your AirPods into the USB port on your Chromebook.
Once the adapter is plugged in, open the lid of your Chromebook and press the power button to turn on the device. Once your Chromebook is turned on, press the “Menu” key in the top-right corner of the keyboard and select “Settings”.
In the Settings menu, click on “Device,” then select “USB Devices.” In the USB Devices menu, you should see the Lightning to USB Adapter listed. Simply click on it to connect your AirPods to your Chromebook!
You can now use your AirPods with your Chromebook just like any other pair of headphones or speakers. Enjoy!
